There was a structure to this attraction game. I had never tried it before, I wasn't even sure I believed it, but I was a scientist and I was curious to test it out and see the results of these new concepts that I had recently read about. I was anxious though, I needed something to get me motivated.

I'm the type of guy that thrives on enthusiasm. If i could get a friend to be excited about what I was trying then I knew I wouldn't have any anxiety when it came to using this material for the first time.

The party we were at was a tropical themed party in the middle of February in a small New England town in Connecticut. Everyone was wearing a lei; there were lots of blow up palm trees and bright colors.

I noticed an old friend of mine as I walked around the party. I said hello and we chatted for awhile. He started to tell me about all the trouble he was having with women. I wanted to share the new ideas that I had picked up with him, but I knew he wasn’t the type of guy who would believe it worked without seeing it in action.

I spent about 20 minutes telling him about the knowledge and insights I accumulated over the past two weeks. I got myself so excited telling him about it that I had to try it.

"I'll show you one of these openers in action."

I quickly turned around. In front of me was an intensely attractive busty blonde. I used the first line I could think of from the material I had recently read.

"Hey, I have to get a quick opinion on something, I can't stay long cause I have to get back to my friends. Do you think it's cool for a guy to talk to his ex girlfriend if he as a new girlfriend?"

She smiled, "Of course it is, when I had a boyfriend I talked to my ex's all the time."

"Really, cause my friend says she would never allow it" I responded.

We argued for a few minutes then suddenly two more girls joined in on the conversation. Somehow, what I said had them all intrigued. They were the most attractive girls at the party. Frankly, I found it intimidating.

I turned my back on the group while they continued to converse behind me.

"Did you see that? It's working!" I whispered to my friend.

"I know that's insane. Good job man, where do I sign up? "

"I don't know but I want to try it again."

I turned back around to the girls, "I have to go see some other friends that just arrived, I'll talk to you guys later."

There was a leggy brunette standing near the keg. I walked up to her and asked the same question.

"Hey, I have to get a quick opinion on something, I can't stay long cause I have to get back to my friends. Do you think it's cool for a guy to talk to his ex girlfriend if he as a new girlfriend?"

The brunette, like the blond, smiled and responded, "Yea, I think its fine. Why is your friend here tonight?"

Suddenly I feel a tap on the shoulder.

"Hey didn't you just ask me that? What is it, your pick-up line?"

The blond was standing behind me. She didn’t look happy. I was terrified. It was my first night approaching girls and I had already gotten caught. I had to think fast.

Luckily, at the time, I was working at Yale doing research on behavioral psychology and genetics. I decided to use this to my advantage. I whipped out my ID.

I held my posture and spoke loudly. "Actually, I'm doing research for Yale on this newly emerging group of social scientists who are working on discovering the process of attraction. You see, that question was meant to get you to give me a response without you thinking I'm hitting on you. It obviously worked, since I was just caught. I wanted to see if it works and honestly I think that went pretty well, don't you?"

The girls look at each other then back at me, "Yea. Really that's coo.. so what else can you tell us about ourselves?"

"Yea, can you analyze us?"

"I can tell you all sorts of things about yourselves but I have to get back to my friends in the other room, we'll talk later. Hope you're not upset about being my little test subjects."

I quickly left the room. I was shocked that I managed to get through that with my ego still  intact. The two hottest girls in the room caught me running lines and I managed to talk my way out.

At the time I was an amateur when it came to this whole attraction game. I thought I was finished with them. I really didn’t have any friends to talk to in the other room. I ran out of the room because I was scared.

Looking back, the 'mistakes' ended up working out for me. By not falling apart when they caught me, I showed strength and value. Turning my back on them then leaving the room when they were enjoying my story made me appear uninterested in them.

I was aware that there was a process to the whole attraction game but I had never really tried implementing it before. It was working.. .and I was shocked!

I walked into the other room and started chatting with one of the other guys there. A few minutes later the blond was standing next to me again.

"Hey, I'm leaving."

"OK, see you later." I didn't know what she wanted.

"No, I'm leaving, I just wanted to say goodbye."

"Goodbye." I didn't understand. Why was it so important for her to say goodbye? Was she really drunk?

She just stood there, like a little girl waiting for me to say something.

"Hey, would you just give him your number already? I want to get out of here!" her friend screamed.

She was blushing. "I don't usually give my number out, but I think you're cute/ I want you to call me"

"Um, ok? Thanks. Sure. When can we hang out?" I didn't understand what I had done to deserve this but I was excited! She was the hottest girl that had ever given me her number.

"Tuesday, we're going out to this place called Sidestreet. Call me and we'll meet up."

"Ok, see you then." I hugged her awkwardly.

My friend who I had been talking to at the beginning of the night walked in from the garage as she walked out.

"Hey, that blonde just gave me her number!" I whispered excitedly.
"No way! How'd you do that? You have to let me in on whatever it is you've been doing."

I explained everything that happened. About 10 minutes later I decided to get a beer. I walked into the garage with my empty cup and filled ego to see the blonde still at the party standing next to the keg. She looked at me and smiled, "Come here."

I walked over. I felt confident. All I had was a few numbers in a phone but that was enough to make me feel like a king.

"I thought you were gone. I guess you stayed to bother me some more huh?"

She laughed, "You keep running away from me. Get over here."

She grabbed the lei I had on and put it around her neck. We were face to face. I guess this means she wants to kiss. I'm a little scared. I've never randomly made out with a girl at a party before. So, I moved closer to her. She pulled me in and starting kissing me passionately. I was blown away. I'd never felt so powerful in my entire life.

A few minutes later her and her friend decided to leave. This time for real.

Tuesday, I would meet her at Sidestreet.
